Ingleton Wood are appointed as Technical Project Managers at the National Theatre to run two concurrent projects on site in this iconic building.
The National Theatre is a complex building which includes 3 theatres plus workshops, offices, and resident staff of some 800 people.
The first project includes the installation of new boilers, CHP unit, absorption and electrical chiller, phase change material, cooling towers and calorifiers. It includes the removal of existing equipment, whilst maintaining at all times all services at the National Theatre.
The second project is the replacement of winches, lighting rigging and associated equipment in the Olivier auditorium. This is a highly technical project, replacing the original winches with a new, intelligent system to allow three-dimensional tricks and actor flying as well as the lifting of heavy scenery and lighting equipment.
